Beaulotus is very busy

Hi, Beaulotus! Nice to see you come back to see us here on 43T. I hope that you’re enjoying your Spring and I’m sure you’re busy getting ready for your move. :)

We’ve finally found our new house!!! It’s a renovated farmhouse in the middle of a big field, kind of spooky and isolated :-). In the countryside near Modena.

Moving there on the 4th of July…

So when will you be moving to Italy, Beaulotus?

Hubby just received his new job offer from one of Italy’s most famous companies (the kind that boys both big and small often dream of), so we would be moving to Italy this Summer.

The decision has yet to be made though as to whether it’ll be Milano or Bologna, but chances are good that it’ll be the latter if we can get the schooling issue settled.

Actually nothing did unless you count being up to the neck with the kids and having my fingers cut dragging the X’mas tree home from the shop…

I’ve been taking a break from 43, but couldn’t end the year without coming back to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Hopefully we’ll be able to chat again in 2007.

I turned 34 on the eve of Halloween. For a decade now I have not celebrated my Birthday i.e. ever since I left my family and friends behind in Singapore.

This year, we happened to be in Crépy-en-Valois, near my MIL’s place. Hubby bought me a cake from the Pâtisserie St Thomas (or more popularly-known as “chez Robert” after its owner) and it was really marvelous. France is THE country for delicious cakes and pastries and I have eaten quite a few really good ones. And Robert is a master among masters.

It was a really fine cake, with a crispy base and chocolate mousse filling. Rich and yet light at the same time. And finally I have a cake for my Birthday, haven’t had one in years :-(.

43 wouldn’t accept Crépy-en-Valois as a new place entry, so I’ll mention it here briefly.

It’s an old little town about an hour away by train from Paris. Some of the houses here date from hundreds of years ago. It’s not a very interesting place, but like almost everywhere else in France, it is very pretty and has character.

Venusian2 as you’ll see will be an even better version of Venusian the Premier.

She returns with new aspirations, but always with that gentle loving touch that she reserves for those who care to get to know her.

But the real reason I want to meet her is to go have pretty pictures taken at that studio she went to for hers!!!

Couldn’t seem to cheer or leave entries on the site!

Just got my 4 wisdom teeth drilled out of my mouth this morning. Am feeling butchered, numb and sore all at the same time, not to mention bloody. And my mom’s here for a few weeks, school’s starting for the kids soon, I have loads to do.

Well, Summer’s here and with the son under compulsory schooling, we’re obliged to travel during his school holidays. Hubby’s off to Florence in Italy for an intensive Italian language course and we’re going to tag along, grandmothers included.

So I’ll be away starting Saturday 05/08 for 3 weeks. Happy Summer Hols everybody!
